Physician Privacy Policy

We take your privacy seriously, and we want you to know how we collect, use, share and protect your information. In addition to this Privacy Policy, PhilCare affiliated physicians should also consult the PhilCare Terms and Conditions https://www.philcare.com.ph/md/terms.

 

This policy applies to physicians who are applying as or is already a PhilCare Affiliated Physician, as the case may be. (“Participating Physician”).

 

The Participating Physician agrees that:

1. PhilCare respects the right to privacy of all Participating Physicians during their application for affiliation and eventual affiliation.
2. Thus, PhilCare shall use, process, store, transfer and dispose any personal information of the Participating Physician in accordance with the applicable data privacy laws, rules and regulations.
3. The Participating Physician understands that in the course of the processing of his/her application as a PhilCare affiliated physician or during his/her affiliation, PhilCare, will need to obtain his/her personal information.
4. Further, the Participating Physician likewise understands that in the course of the processing of his/her application as a PhilCare affiliated physician or during his/her affiliation, PhilCare may have to engage the services of, and/or interact with, third parties, such as, but not limited to its parent company, affiliated companies, subsidiaries, financial advisors, affiliated third parties or independent/non-affiliated third parties and service providers, whether local or foreign for legitimate business purposes (collectively referred to as “Representatives”).
5. In this connection, the Participating Physician freely, knowingly, and voluntarily gives his/her consent for PhilCare and its Representatives to:

   5.1. Obtain, collect, examine, process, and store copies of your personal information including sensitive personal information, or any other information that is necessary to process your application or any other information that is needed in the course of your affiliation. Except as otherwise stated hereon or under the Service Agreement between PhilCare and the Participating Physician (the “Service Agreement”), any information obtained to the authority given shall be strictly confidential; and

   5.2. Disclose such information to its members, clients, agents, brokers, for any legitimate business purpose as PhilCare may deem appropriate and in connection with the Services performed by the Participating Physician under the Service Agreement.

6. Finally, should there be any concern relating to data privacy, the Participating Physician shall contact PhilCare immediately through e-mail at [email protected].
